In a recent conversation with Toke Makinwa, Kate Henshaw, and Chidi Mokeme, Jim Iyke shared his perspective on inviting women over for a movie date, asserting that such an invitation comes with certain expectations. During the discussion, the group was presented with a choice between fine dining and a movie date, with Jim Iyke strongly favoring the latter.
Expressing his reluctance towards fine dining, Jim Iyke humorously remarked, “Fine dining, I cannot do anything bros,” and suggested that after such an elaborate meal, the woman could simply “run home.” However, he argued that a movie date presented a different scenario, stating, “They’re not running if they come for this thing. You must pay one way or the other.”
Kate Henshaw and Toke voiced their disagreement, asserting that it was inappropriate for Jim to expect sexual gratification from a woman he invited over to watch a movie. Jim, unyielding, defended his stance, asserting that he was speaking from a man’s perspective and highlighting the common expectations men have in such situations. “Good company, conversation, you know… At the end of the day, something is going to happen,” he remarked.
Chidi Mokeme interjected with a playful inquiry, asking about a “happy ending,” to which Jim Iyke continued, stating that statistically, “95 percent” of men anticipate some form of intimacy when inviting a woman over. Despite objections from Toke and Kate, Jim maintained that women are also aware of these expectations.
As the discussion progressed, Jim added a caveat, suggesting that a woman could avoid the anticipated outcome if she were “sapiosexual” and engaged his intellect during the movie. “You better be super smart for me not to think sexually,” he quipped. Kate and Toke, however, countered, suggesting that it reflected poorly on Jim if he invited a woman who wasn’t intellectually stimulating to spend time watching a movie with him.
