I Never Wanted To Be Famous – Actor, Deyemi Okanlawon Says

He elucidated on this, stating, “To be honest, I didn’t know this side of fame. I didn’t come into the industry to be famous. I came to do the work, and the collateral upside of doing the work was fame. So, I quickly adapted with the understanding that it is just part of the job.”

Deyemi candidly shared that he consciously tries to detach himself from the allure of fame to maintain a grounded perspective in his career. Expressing a sentiment of humility, he reflected on his journey, noting that his primary focus has always been on honing his craft rather than seeking the spotlight.

Interestingly, Deyemi revealed that his most significant regret lies in not embarking on his acting career sooner. This acknowledgment underscores his deep passion for the art form and a desire to have dedicated more time to it in the earlier stages of his life.

On a lighter note, when prompted about his preferences for potential companionship within the industry, Deyemi shared that Hollywood actresses Viola Davis and Meryl Streep top his list for potential dates.
