Nollywood icon Kanayo O Kanayo recently took to social media to express his incredulity regarding the trend of women opting to become single parents instead of forming partnerships with male counterparts.
In a thought-provoking video shared on his official Instagram account, the veteran filmmaker voiced his bewilderment at the notion of women choosing to forgo traditional family structures and embrace single motherhood. He questioned the rationale behind a woman rejecting the idea of living with a man and instead opting to raise children alone.
Kanayo O Kanayo’s commentary delved deeper into his concerns about the potential risks faced by women who choose this path. He highlighted a particular challenge he sees with such women, expressing his worry that they may become vulnerable to harm, particularly from their domestic staff, upon the discovery of significant wealth or valuables in their homes.

Kanayo O Kanayo said;
“I wonder why a person will say I don’t want to live under any man. I want to be a single mother. My grudge or challenge about such people is that they get killed or murdered by their house staffs, either for discovery of large money or jewelry and so on.”
The veteran actor finally stated that it is better and safer for one to stay with a relative rather than opening up to someone that he/she just came in contact with in less than a month.
