“I am living their dreams” – Singer Crayon slams those criticizing him for supporting Rema

Crayon, an up-and-coming vocalist in the music industry, has faced criticism for his support of his fellow label mate, Rema. Despite the criticism, Crayon stands by his decision to back Rema and his statements.

A recent report detailed Rema’s participation in discussions on the social media platform X, where he engaged with Nigerians about the origins of Afrobeat music. Rema talked about the genre’s evolution and introduced the idea of transitioning from the “Big 3” to the “Big 4″—which now includes himself—highlighting the genre’s dominance over other styles of music.

Crayon passionately defended Rema’s viewpoints and his place in the genre’s history, despite encountering significant backlash from critics and fans alike. An observer noted that Crayon’s defense of Rema had attracted intense criticism. Nevertheless, Crayon remained unfazed by the negativity, suggesting that he was living out the dreams of his critics.

While discussing his accomplishments, Crayon mentioned owning a Mercedes Benz AMG, valued at N170 million. However, he emphasized that he does not enjoy bragging about his wealth, preferring to keep a humble approach to his success.

One well-respected critic noted that no newcomer has yet reached the level of achievement required to be considered among the top 10 artists in the industry. Although both Rema and Crayon have seen notable success, they still face a long road ahead to reach the legendary status of established icons in the music world.

Crayon’s response on the matter was direct and clear: “Lol, my AMG worth 170 million naira. I’m living their dreams! I don’t like to brag, bros.” This statement encapsulates his confidence and self-assured attitude amid the criticism.
